The iconic Bondi Beach is located a few kilometres towards the east of the city centre of Sydney. Stretching over a kilometre in length, the Bondi Beach is famed for its beautiful sandy shores and sunny skies and is flocked by visitors throughout the year. The area is a popular tourist attraction and offers an abundance of eateries, cafes, restaurants and accommodation options catering to tourists. It is also host to a number of festivals and events including annual skateboarding competitions and several other sporting activities. There have been sightings of whales, dolphins and penguins around the beach area during the migratory season. The beach was added to the Australian National Heritage List in 2008. Its name translates to "water breaking over rocks" in Aboriginal language and the history of the beach can be traced as far back as 1882 when it officially became a public beach. The beach stretches on for about a kilometre and was added to the Australian National Heritage List in 2008. At present, Bondi Beach is immensely popular amongst backpackers, billionaires as well as board riders and is frequented by visitors throughout the year. It is a must-visit for travellers sight-seeing in Sydney – for beach lovers in particular.

Prayer Facilities

Though designated prayer room facilities around Bondi Beach may not be readily available, there are a few mosques near the Bondi Beach area - Surry Hills Mosque and Redfern Mosque – which are located about 10 kilometres away and can be reached in a few minutes' drive. Plenty of private area is also available in the vicinity of the beach area to make use of during prayer times.  

Halal Food

The beach area will be lined with several cafes and eateries which might not serve Halal food. It is possible to opt for a few vegetarian snacks or seafood around the area or for those who don’t mind travelling a bit further, a few Halal restaurants near Bondi Beach are available a few kilometers away – including the Zaaffran Restaurant and Aki's Indian Restaurant.
