Placed between the municipalities of Ad Dawhah and Mesaieed is the city and municipality of Al Wakrah. Located just south of Doha, Al Wakrah has always maintained its own charm and soul. The mosque has been built using traditional items like coral, sun-baked mud and rocks.

The Al Wakrah Mall is the best place for shopping in Al Wakrah. It is a multi-level mall with several shops and a food court. The mall also features a children’s theme park. There are a number of small shops, markets and boutiques around the city where visitosr can find a variety of items.

The nearest airport to Al Wakrah is the Doha International Airport. From the airport visitors can take taxis to reach Al Wakrah. There are also regular buses available from the Al Ghanim Bus Station in Doha to Al Wakrah.
