Located in the southern part of the Netherlands, in the west of the province North Brabant is a city that has a prominent place in Dutch history; Breda. This small, quiet city is full of interesting architecture, fun attractions and cultural delights. Breda is incredibly charming, making it the ideal destination for those looking to relax and unwind. Muslim tourists will be able to find Muslim-friendly facilities in Breda, although it will not be easy. There are a few known mosques and Halal restaurants in Breda which will make visitors feel right at home.

Breda’s city centre is home to numerous monuments; one in particular that can be seen from quite a distance is the Grote or Onze Lieve Vrouwe Kerk; which is a beautiful 15th-century Gothic style church said to be the most important monument in Breda. It is visible from almost everywhere in Breda and is one of the Top 100 Dutch UNESCO Monuments. The church is located in the city’s main square; the Grote Markt. This is also where the 18th century City Hall is located.
