The Genting Highlands is situated at an elevation of 1740 m, and the area typically experiences cool temperatures. Visitors do not need to leave the resorts thanks to the local walkway system.

Nearby Airports

The nearest airport to Genting Highlands is the Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

The airport is about 40 minutes away from Genting Highlands. There were direct buses available from the airport to the resort that has now stopped functioning.

The best way to get to Genting Highlands is getting to KL Sentral by train and then further by bus.

The entire trip can take around 1-2 hours. For whom money is not an issue they can charter helicopters to Genting Highlands, which takes about half an hour.

Halal Restaurants

To cater the needs of Muslim visitors there are several halal restaurants in Genting Highlands. At these places one can relish various tandoori items and other Malay delicacies. Some of the halal restaurants in Genting Highlands include First World Café. Several fast food chains such as McDonald's, KFC, Burger Kingand Marrybrown also claim to serve halal food.

Mosques

There is only one mosque in Genting Highlands, the Yayasan Mohammad Noah Mosque. There is another mosque in the surrounding, the Masjid Qariah.
