Old Montreal has several historical buildings many of them dating to the 17th or the 19th century. On the other hand the Downtown area features skyscrapers and interesting museums. The area of Le Plateau has beautiful residential streets and an authentic shopping scenario. Throughout Montreal visitors can see some exotic street art. The Saint Laurent Boulevard is the best place to check out street art. Those visiting Montreal during the winter months can enjoy skiing at some parks like Parc du Mont-Royal, Parc regional de l'Ile-de-la-Visitation, etc.

Shopping in Montreal is an exciting experience. The Downtown area is the best place to enjoy shopping. St Catherine, Greene Avenue in Westmount, Sherbrooke Street, Le Plateau and Old Montreal offer excellent shopping opportunities. Nearby Airports

Montréal is served by the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Airport, located about an hour away from the city center. There are buses, taxis and shuttles easily available from the airport to the downtown and other parts of the city. Ideally a taxi fare from the airport to downtown costs around $40. A bus ticket from the airport to downtown can cost around $10. Visitors can also get car rentals from the airport.
