The location of Ningbo makes it an excellent place to visit at any time of the year. There are several scenic areas around the city that can be explored during your stay. If planning to visit the city during the summer months then the Xuedou Mountain Scenic Area and the Tianhe Scenic Area in Tiantai Mountain are good to visit. If visiting the city during the winter months, the Nanxi Hot Springs are ideal for a visit. In the northern area of the city are some beautiful lakes that can be visited at any time of the year.
There are several other attractions within the city that make excellent places to visit and explore. The Tianyi Pavilion is good to walk around. A visit to the Qiantong, Ninghai ancient town is a must. The ZheDong Grand Canyon and the Ningbo Youngor Zoo are excellent to enjoy natural views. The Songlan Mountain Beach is ideal to relax and get exotic views of the coast. To know more about the history of the area, visit the Ningbo Historic Museum. The Ningbo Museum of Art features artwork by various artists.
Ningbo offers a varied shopping experience. From narrow street markets to shopping centers there are several interesting places to shop and have fun. The Little Goods Market and the Gu Lou sell small items that you would love to buy. Some good supermarkets include CenturyMart, Metro, A-Best, Carrefour, etc.
The Ningbo Lishe International Airport serves the city of Ningbo. The airport is located about 13Km from the city center. A taxi ride from the airpot to downtown Ningbo costs 45-60 CNY and takes around 20 minutes. Shuttle buses run every hour from the airport to the South Ningbo Bus Station and cost around 10 CNY. These buses are available till 6:20 PM.
There are some good halal food and restaurants in Ningbo where visitors can find delicious local and international cuisine. Some of these places include Lebanese Restaurant, Dong Yi Shun Restaurant, Adaxi Xinjiang-style Restaurant, etc. At these restaurants visitors can find local and international cuisine.
The main mosque in Ningbo is the Ningbo Mosque. It is the only mosque in the city and was initially built during the Xianping Period. The mosque features traditional Chinese architecture with Islamic calligraphy.
