Hajj travel tips

Going on Hajj means everything to Muslims around the globe. The Hajj to Mecca, Saudi Arabia is considered the world’s largest pilgrimage being a religious obligation that has to be carried out at least once in a lifetime. However, performing the fifth Islamic pillar needs thorough preparation. Hence, we’d like to give you some travel tips for your most touching journey.

 

  1. Thoroughly prepare yourself on a religious and personal level.
  2. Try to reconcile with anyone before performing hajj.
  3. Start travel preparations at least one year ahead.
  4. Pack only the most necessary things.
  5. Take a waist belt with you (ID, Contact details, etc.).
  6. Ask your local Islamic community where to buy Ihram clothing.
  7. Keep in mind that hajj is the largest and toughest pilgrimage on earth. However, keep smiling, greet people and help your brothers and sister wherever you can.
  8. Learn the 99 beautiful names of Allah and use them throughout prayers and Dua.
  9. Don’t forget to call friends and family on Eid day.
  10. Be a better Muslim when coming back and encourage others to perform the pilgrimage.
