5 Places to Shop Until You Drop in Boracay
Boracay is most remembered for its white beaches and relaxing atmosphere. It is the perfect place to getaway to, with some of the best beaches and stunning scenery. But what’s a holiday without some shopping? Here is our guide to the places you definitely have to drop by for some much needed retail therapy, without necessarily breaking the bank.

1) D’Mall

The biggest mall on the island, D’Mall stretches along the coast of the White Beach. An unconventional mall, the open air one-stop center has a collection of stores that range from budget to higher end, but all of them allow room to bargain. With sand at your feet, this would probably be your most relaxing shopping experience - like a stroll on the beach. In addition to souvenirs, fashion items and accessories, you can also find seafood, fresh fruits and a supermarket here. D’Mall is an upmarket location, but with pocket-friendly prices. Look out for funky fashion stores, locally hand-crafted items, souvenir paraphernalia, branded goods, and more. With a cornucopia of materials and entertainment, your visit to Boracay is incomplete without a visit to D’Mall!

2) D’Talipapa Market

The sister of D’Mall, D’Talipapa Market is managed by many of the same people, but with a totally different feel. More of a lower-end local market area, this shopping stop stretches from the wet market all the way to the beach. With even more space for bargaining than at D’Mall, this is definitely the place to hit if, either you’re a good haggler, or want to target smaller souvenir items. D’Talipapa Market also hosts fruit and vegetable stalls, as well as fresh seafood that is also available at discounted prices. A unique aspect of this market is food that is cooked perfectly according to your specifications at any restaurant onsite - with the seafood that you purchase right there!

3) E’Mall

I’m not sure what it is with the alphabets either, but that does not deter from the fact that E’Mall is a great shopping hub too! Located at the south end of the island, the three floors feature high end stores, as well as a range of delicious eateries. Around the complex are some of the cheapest souvenir stores on the island.

4) Plazoleta

In the spirit of flea markets, the stores around the Plazoleta frequently change. A great place to find home furnishings, hand-made items, jewellery, paintings and much more, Plazoleta also hosts Saturday markets. Be sure to drop by for unique finds in material items and food. Watch out for exquisite leather goods and native crafts amongst other things.

5.White Beach

The beach might be the last thing you expected to find on a shopping guide, but with plenty of peddlers on the beach, it’s one that cannot be missed! From snacks to souvenirs, make the most of beach wares. Whether it be beach hats and sunglasses, food, or even toys, the sellers don’t hassle you like ones in other countries. Pearl vendors are quite common, and are very authentic. Stop and take a look, for they have a variety to suit different tastes and budgets, and negotiating is expected!
