Day 3 in the Philippines with Puteri – From Davao to Manila
Assalamu'alaikum Wr. Wb. It's already Day 3! I woke up early to this breathtaking view. Can I have this everyday for the rest of my life? We had checked out at 8 am and went to visit another room of this hotel. I surely left my heart at this resort. Pearl Farm Beach Resort really knows how to make their guests fall in love. We then left resort and went to see a bat cave. This bat cave was listed in the Guinness World Book of Records since nearly 2 million bats lived here. Puteri---Day-3---2 Later we had lunch at Paradise Island Restaurant, which was not too far away from the resort before. It looked like a touristy place. Then we got ready to cross the island by boat since we had to catch a flight to Manila at 4. We arrived in Davao City again and the guide brought me and others to a cafe to get some coffee and to have a chat with the Secretary of the Philippines Dept. of Tourism. We told him that we really loved Davao and we loved the Philippines so far. We also said thank you for treating the 10% of Muslims here well. We really had fun talking to him and it was such an honor to meet him. For a person with a position like him, he was the best. He sometimes would blend with us and have a silly conversation. What a humble guy he is. Respect! The time was already 2:10. We needed to take Salat first before catching our flight to Manila. So we took Salat at the Barangay Buhangin Mosque - a mosque inside the madrasa near Davao airport. There was no one there except for us at the mosque. But the door was open so we could take Salat there. Alhamdulillah. Puteri-Day-1---3 Goodbye Davao! We arrived at the airport. I definitely loved Davao City. Hopefully one day I can go back to the city and Samal Island. Hello Manila! The atmosphere of Manila was way busier than Davao. The traffic was almost similar to the traffic in my home country. Hehe. So while everyone got upset about this, me and my partner were able to tolerate it. We headed directly go to Mariott Hotel - close to the airport - to check in and to have dinner. We had a great dinner. We ate so many yumm yumm desserts until we were full. We were done for the day. I can't wait to explore Manila tomorrow! It's gonna be a loong day! :) Wassalamu'alaikum Wr.
