For the uninitiated, OMOOMO (pronounced omo-omo) means “Oh my!” in Korean and Don means “bowl” in Japanese. This fresh and appetizing concept is still such a big hit with customers that they have since expanded their business to FOUR OUTLETS islandwide! Take a look at their menu and start drooling!
As an east-sider, I am so grateful they have an outlet right in the heart of Downtown East: E!Avenue. Fusion food is always a plus because we get to enjoy the best of both worlds all in one place! This Japanese-Korean medley promises a gastronomical adventure for your taste buds. OMOOMO works on a customizable food basis where patrons can either choose from the already available menu or create their own bowls. Dig into a hearty bowl of Yes Sir! Yes Sir! If you happen to drop by OMOOMO, don't miss a chance to try the Ji-Ji Don. We had ours at the outlet at Kallang Wave Mall and we were filled to the brim! At just $10, you get a big bowl of tender spicy chicken, teriyaki chicken, soy garlic chicken winglets, and an onsen egg that oozes beautifully when you poke it. Amazing!

We also had the Kim Chick. If you're staying away from rice, this is a great alternative! At $10, you get a big bowl of noodles with Kimchi soup, topped with some juicy chicken karaage. Keep your tummies empty before feasting here so that you have room to enjoy every bite!
You can also choose to Build-My-Don so you have complete control over what you want in your food. Choose from a base (Multi-Grain Rice, Mixed Greens, or Udon), Garnish (I recommend the Onsen egg and Tobikko!), Protein (Chicken, Steak, Salmon, even Vegan Prawn!), and top with some of their signature sauces like Cho Gochujang!
For a more satisfying meal, upgrade your bowl to a meal (+$5) and you get to enjoy a side dish and a drink. The sauces are free flow too. Definitely value-for-money. Do note that the portions can be pretty small so you might want to consider adding on more ingredients.
At OMOOMO, you don’t have to worry about queuing up for your food long because they have a modern way of self-ordering. This self-ordering system accepts both cashless payments as well as cash. With the food menu right in front of you as you order, you will never feel confused about what you want to eat! All you have to do next is to wait for your order.
