رَبَّنَا تَقَبَّلْ مِنَّآ ۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ
Rabbana taqabbal minna inaka Antas Samee'ul Aleem
Indeed, you are The all hearing, The all knowing. Our Lord! Accept from us (Our service)
[Surah Al-Baqarah verse 127]
This dua was said after they based the Construction of the Ka'bah the house of Allah.
In this ayah, we can learn that the believer should not be satisfied with their actions alone. Islam is a religion where the purpose is more important than the action itself. It's actually not good when praying if your mind is wandering elsewhere, we have to keep an intense focus on our duties.
Prophet Ibrahim, peace be upon him, after finishing his duties he asked Allah (SWT) to accept what was done. This shows us that his intention was pure and the work he did is to make Allah happy.
Imam As Sadiq said, “Anyone who performs a small act for the sake of God, God will make it bigger than he wishes in the sight of others. And anyone who performs a great act for the sake of people, God will make it trivial in the sight of others.”
Remember to recite this dua Rabbana Taqabbal Minna Inaka Antas Samee’ul Aleem. This dua is short and easy to say whenever you have done something for Allah(SWT). Insha Allah, he will accept and reward you.
