Here you visit the famous Vilakazi Street, home to two Nobel prizewinners – the home where Nelson Mandela lived and the home of Desmond Tutu. Visit the Hector Pieterson museum and understand the student icon behind the struggle whose picture spread to the corners of the world. Get up close and personal with the King of the Jungle at the Lion Park while you cuddle some lion cubs! You will visit the bustling centre of the Muslim communities in Johannesburg as well as take in Jumuah salaah at one of the many Jumuah Masjids in the area (subject to client flight dates). You will be treated to in depth information and experiences of the Muslims who lived through apartheid. The wildlife adventure begins with a visit to the world famous Kruger National Park where you will experience an expertly guided safari and witness animals in their natural habitat – even a chance encounter with a pride lions perhaps!

Soaking in Allah’s amazing beauty of creation, you will take in all the sights of the panorama surrounding the Kruger Park by visiting breathtaking waterfalls, forests and mountains. Arriving in South Africa’s Mother City, you will visit places of sheer amazement and understand the traces of the first Muslims to have set foot on these shores. Expert tour guides will walk you through the richness of the local Cape Malay Muslim community in Bo Kaap and District Six and visit the first masjid built in South Africa over 200 years ago.

A spectacular shoreline journey of the Cape Peninsula will take you to Cape point, the very tip of the continent of Africa as well as scenic towns of Hout Bay and Simonstown.
