Overview
Opened to the public in 1988, the Nagoya City Art Museum celebrates the allure of art and history by exhibiting works of a number of prominent regional artists as well as several internationally-reputed artists. The facility features a permanent and temporary collection of art, as well as a library, auditorium and snack shop for visitors. The building was designed by the famed architect Kisho Kurokawa and its structure and architectural brilliance of the museum building have also contributed to the overall appeal of the museum.
