Overview
Once the state secretariat building of Johor, the Sultan Ibrahim Building was constructed in the late 1930s and was the tallest building in the city during that time. Situated in Bukit Timbalan, the building is presently a historical landmark in Malaysia and dominates the cityscape majestically. The building structure features an interesting blend of colonial and Malay architecture with traditional Islamic design elements. Visitors will have to keep in mind that they will require permission of the guards prior to entering the compound of the building and that access inside the building will not be permitted.
