Overview

The Datça Peninsula is known by a number of different names - the Reşadiye Peninsula, the Dorian Peninsula, Cnidos Peninsula as well as the Chersonisos Cnidia. The area is located about a few kilometres to the west of Marmaris and is presently a popular holiday spot in the city. The rocky landscape stretches for hundreds of kilometres, offering terrific views of spectacular natural scenery. The dramatic vistas in the distance offer ample photographic opportunities, making it a fantastic location for both nature lovers and photography-enthusiasts alike. It is also possible to explore the beauty of the peninsula and its surroundings via a traditional cruise or boat ride along the bay area.

Prayer Facilities

Plenty of private space is available and can be made use of during prayer times. A number of mosques –including the Haci Salih Efecik Mosque, Camiavlu Mosque and Merkez Yesil - are also located in the vicinity of the Marmaris city and can be visited.

Halal Food

Access to Halal food will not be difficult, but it is recommended that you bring some snacks along with you. A number of Halal restaurants – such as the Ney, Meryemana, İdil Mantı Evi and the Liman Restaurant - can also be found in the Marmaris city, which is a short distance away.
