Overview

The Marmaris Grand Bazaar is a wonderful spot for shoppers to take advantage of fantastic bargains, whilst getting a deeper glimpse into Turkey's busy citylife at the same time. The bazaar area offers hundreds of shops selling items that range from traditional handicrafts to spices to jewellery and garments. A number of eateries and small restaurants are also available throughout the area, selling mouthwatering Turkish food and snacks. Busy and chaotic, the bazaar is bustling with activity and is visited by hundreds of thousands of visitors - both locals and tourists - around the year. It is the ideal place to purchase a few souvenirs and mementos of your visit Turkey.

Prayer Facilities

There is a mosque located within walking distance of the area – just behind the bazaar – that visitors could go to during prayer times. The shop owners in the area would be happy to provide directions on how to reach it. It is also possible to travel to some of the more prominent mosques in the Marmaris such as the Haci Salih Efecik Mosque, Camiavlu Mosque and Merkez Yesil.

Halal Food

There are numerous restaurants, eateries and food outlets in the vicinity of the bazaar and visitors will never find a lack of Halal food options. Halal food is served at almost every shop in the bazaar, but visitors could check with the store owners just to be sure. More prominent Halal restaurants in the city include the Ney, Meryemana, İdil Mantı Evi and the Liman Restaurant.
