Xuedou Mount

Overview

Mount Xuedou is located about 40 kilometres north of Ningbo city and is a popular tourist attraction in the area. It is the tallest peak of the eastern fringe of the Siming mountain range and offers spectacular views of the landscape in the distance - particularly the Tingxia Lake in the distance. It is part of the Xikou and Mount Xuedou Scenic Area which cover a total of nearly 40 square kilometres. In addition to the Tingxia Lake, several attractions such as the Shanshui Ancient Temple, Native Place of Jiang Jie-shi and Secluded Valleys and Waterfalls are located in close proximity and are well-worth a visit.

Plenty of open space will be available to make use of during prayer times, though designated prayer facilities at Mount Xuedou will be unavailable. Muslim travellers may also visit the main mosque in Ningbo – the Ningbo Mosque – which is the mosque catering to the Muslim community in the area.
