Overview
Jomtien Beach - also commonly referred to as Chom Tian Beach - is located on the east coast of the Gulf of Thailand and is a few kilometres away from Pattaya. Jomtien Beach is particularly well-known for its water sports and it is home to numerous water sport activities and festivals throughout the year. Popular water sport activities include jet skiing, parasailing and scuba diving and visitors will be able to purchase all necessary equipment from a number of shops in the vicinity. In addition to the water sports, the beach provides the ideal tranquil atmosphere to spend a quiet leisurely evening and take in dramatic views of the sun setting in the distance. A visit to the beach is recommended for both beach lovers and water sport enthusiasts.
Prayer Facilities
Plenty of open space is available for Muslim travellers in need of prayer facilities at Jomtien Beach. It is also possible for Muslim travellers to visit some of the mosques in Pattaya such as the Darul Ibadah Masjid - which is the main mosque in Pattaya - as well as other mosques such as Yamirul Islam Mosque, Hidayatussaligeen Mosque, Darul Abaro Mosque and Hanwarissunnah Mosque.
Halal Food
Though numerous restaurants and eateries will be scattered across the beach area, access to Halal food at Jomtien Beach may be limited. For a wide range of Halal food options, Muslim travellers could visit some of the prominent Halal restaurants in Pattaya such as the Pardis, Palace, Ali Food & Drinks, Maharaja, Indian Curry Hut and Abo Abdullah – which all serve a tantalising range of exquisite Halal fare.
