Overview

Located opposite Ayutthaya's Rajabhat University at Rojana Road, Chao Sam Phraya National Museum is a prominent attraction and landmark in the area and is frequented by visitors throughout the year. The museum is named after the son of a former king of Ayutthaya and was inaugurated in 1961 by HM King Rama IX. Visitors to the museum will be able to witness various items-of-interest including several architectural relics, sculptures, garments and ceramics. The museum comprises three main buildings with each building offering something different on display. A visit to the Chao Sam Phraya National Museum is highly recommended for travellers who wish to learn more about Thailand's fascinating past.
