It is also considered to be an excellent beach for swimming and the most popular time to visit it is typically during the months of November to April. Phra Nang belongs to the Railay Peninsula and can be reached from Ao Nang by a 20 minute boat ride. A visit to Phra Nang Beach is highly recommended for travellers in the area.

Muslim travellers in need of prayer facilities may visit some of the mosques near Aonang Beach - Masjid Aonang and Masjid KlongHaeng are the two closest mosques and are located about a kilometre away from Ao Nang. Halal food options will be available at Aonang Village which is home to a sizable Muslim community and quite a few Halal restaurants.
