Overview

The Zoodoo Wildlife Park is a unique wildlife park located in Richmond, near the Hobart Airport. Covering an area of over 200 acres, the wildlife park - which was a former ostrich farm - was opened to the public in mid 1991. Since then, it has become the largest and most prominent wildlife park in Tasmania and boasts a wide variety of both native and foreign species of animals including several Bengal tigers, African lions and zebras. The native animals at Zoodoo Wildlife Park include koalas, emus, kangaroos, wombats and Tasmanian devils and enables visitors to interact and get up-and-close with these incredible creatures. A visit to Zoodoo Wildlife Park allows visitors to learn more about the wildlife of Tasmania and a visit is recommended for travellers in Hobart - particularly for animal lovers and nature enthusiasts.

Though designated prayer facilities at Zoodoo Wildlife Park will be unavailable for Muslim travellers, plenty of private open space will be available at the park to use during prayer times. Muslim travellers can also visit the Hobart Mosque located on Warwick Street in West Hobart – which is the only known mosque in Hobart.
