Opened to the public in 2001, the World of Wearable Art & Classic Cars Museum is a museum that uniquely focuses on wearable art and classic cars. The two-theme museum is a prominent attraction in the area and features a fantastic collection of classic cars from around the globe as well as a wide range of wearable works of art with distinct designs and forms. The Wearable Art Gallery houses over 60 works of art including several award-winning masterpieces, while the Classic Cars Gallery showcases a private collection of rare & classic cars. A special Reflections Art Gallery is also available and exhibits a wide range of art works from emerging local artists. A visit to the museum is recommended for travellers sight-seeing in Nelson – particularly for lovers of art and vintage cars.
