Musée Miniature et Cinéma

Overview

An enjoyable attraction for anyone visiting Lyon; is the one-of-a-kind Musée Miniature et Cinéma. Located in the heart of Vieux-Lyon, or Old Lyon, in the 16th century Maison des Avocats, this unique museum created by miniaturist artist Dan Ohlmann must be on every tourist's itinerary. The museum is home to a collection of hundreds of small-scale scenes and exhibits of daily life settings, as well as a film exhibition that centers on special effects techniques. Visitors to the museum must make it a point to view all of the exquisitely crafted, hyperreal exhibits and the unique film exhibits which are spread over five stories. Visitors who are creative and artistic are sure to greatly enjoy a visit to this museum.

Prayer Facilities

Although Muslim tourists will not be able to find a prayer room at the Musée Miniature et Cinéma, they may be able to locate a mosque in Old Lyon. Tourists are therefore advised to ask the staff at the museum, or locals for directions to the closest mosque or prayer facilities to Musée Miniature et Cinéma.

Halal Food

Lyon is home to numerous Halal restaurants at which Muslim tourists can dine. If unable to locate one in Old Lyon, Muslim visitors can dine at any of the local restaurants, as these restaurants also serve a variety of seafood and vegetarian dishes. They must however ensure that the items they order are alcohol-free, as French dishes are known to contain alcohol.
