Overview

Located on the Arabian Gulf Street in the heart of Kuwait City, are the most famous landmarks and the unofficial symbol of Kuwait; the Kuwait Towers. With two major towers and one minor one, this iconic attraction is visited by almost every tourist visiting Kuwait. The first tower; the largest one, stands at a height of 187 metres and houses a rotating viewing platform and the Horizon Restaurant – where the menu is changed daily, as well as a few more restaurants and cafes and a ballroom. The observation deck offers visitors breathtaking, unparalleled views of the entire city as it rotates 360 degrees every half an hour. The second tower stands at a height of 147 metres and has the capacity to hold one million gallons of water, and the third tower control the lighting for the other two. Also held at the towers are some of Kuwait's popular annual festivals like the annual Ice Cream Festival, the Chocolate Festival and the Kuwaiti Meals Festival.

Prayer Facilities

As with most other attractions in Kuwait, Muslims should be able to find prayer facilities at the Kuwait Towers. If unable to do so, they will be able to find numerous mosques and prayer facilities spread across Kuwait City. Muslim tourists could also ask the staff at the Kuwait Towers for permission to make use of one of the many conference rooms or halls.

Halal Food

The biggest of the Kuwait Towers is home to a few restaurants and cafes as well as a cafeteria. All of these eateries serve only Halal food. Muslim tourists can therefore dine at one of these restaurants and cafes without a worry. For women visitors, the Ofok restaurant also has ladies-only hours.
