Overview

One of the most popular towns in Kerala, Fort Kochi is a prominent area of the town that has much to offer its visitors. With picturesque beaches and European architectural style still evident in the city, tourists are drawn to visit this lovely part of town. Clearly the most recognized site in Kochi, and best explored on foot or bicycle, the fort area is quite well known for its Chinese fishing nets that have been there since the 14th century. Aside from visiting the historical sites and admiring the architecture in the area, tourists can also head to the waterfront and enjoy views of a spectacular sunset.
