Overview
When on holiday in Granada, a fun place to take the kids is the Parque de las Ciencias, or the Science Park. This 70,000 square metre interactive museum is located quite close to the city center and make a great destination for both kids and adults alike. There are seven permanent exhibition halls, as well as temporary ones that feature exhibits relating to architecture, astronomy, physics, environment, culture, chemistry and so much more. The museum is incredibly interactive and educational, and encourages participation. Some of its popular attractions include the Digital Planetarium and the Cinemas, as well as the Observation Tower, the Maze, the Astronomical Observatory, the Astronomy Garden, and the Tropical Butterfly House; which are found in the 27,000 square metre outdoor museum.
Prayer Facilities
There are no known prayer facilities at the Parque de las Ciencias, but the city of Granada is known to be home to a couple of mosques, such as the Mosque of Granada. Muslims visiting the museum can also find a quiet place in the garden, outside the museum, to offer their prayers.
Halal Food
There is a cafeteria at the Parque de las Ciencias where visitors will be able to relax and grab a bite to eat. The food served here will probably not be Halal. Muslims visiting the museum could therefore order something vegetarian or seafood, or they could dine at one of the several Halal restaurants in the city of Granada.
