Overview

The Bilbao Fine Arts Museum, or the Museo de Bellas Artes de Bilbao, located in Bilbao is a fine arts museum that is divided into four main sections: ancient art, contemporary art, Basque art and applied arts. Offering visitors the unique opportunity into viewing and exploring the world of art, the Fine Arts Museum of Bilbao is a definite mist-visit when in Spain's Bilbao. Located inside the Doña Casilda Iturrizar Park, this museum is said to be home to over ten thousand works of art. The museum houses a fine collection of valuable paintings, sculptures, drawings, objects and engravings from the Middle Ages to contemporary, as well as 19th century and modern. The museum also hosts several temporary exhibitions each year.

Prayer Facilities

There are no known prayer facilities at the Bilbao Fine Arts Museum. Muslim visitors will therefore have to make use of the facilities offered at one of the numerous mosques in the city. Prominent mosques in the city include; Mezquita Assalam, Mezquita Badr and Mezquita Al Furqan. Muslim visitors can therefore ask the museum staff to direct them to the nearest prayer facility when needed.

Halal Food

The Arbolagaña Restaurant and the Museum Cafeteria both offer those visiting the museum a wide selection of delicious dining options. While these restaurants are not Halal certified, they will definitely offer vegetarian and seafood dishes. Muslim visitors can therefore dine on these dishes after ensuring no non-Halal items are added.
