This UNESCO World Heritage Site formerly shared amongst Muslim and Christian worshippers is today a cathedral which is why it is still known as the Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba. The interior of the Mezquita is made up of 850 columns that seem to go on forever. These columns with red and white striped arches are quite distinctive and its uniqueness offers visitor a glimpse into the architectural design elements of the past. With many Moorish elements still evident throughout its interior as well as its exterior, this impressive monument with an unusual history is definitely a must-see attraction when in Córdoba.

The Islamic Cultural Center of Córdoba is situated close by and can be used by Muslim visitors when needed.
