Overview

The Museum of Contemporary Spanish Engraving, located in the heart of the old quarter of Marbella is an important site in the Old Town area. The museum housed in the Old Hospital Bazan has a permanent collection that includes the work of top contemporary artists like Picasso, Tapies, Dali and Miro. Aside from its permanent collection, the museum also has temporary exhibitions on a regular basis. The museum building was formerly the home of the mayor until it was donated and used as a hospital. Today it serves the people of Marbella as a museum. The combination of renaissance, gothic and mudejar architectural elements in its design makes the museum building a landmark worth visiting.

Prayer Facilities

While Muslim tourists will not find prayer facilities inside the museum premises, they will find prayer facilities in the city of Marbella. These tourists requiring prayer facilities could visit the Al Risalat Mosque; a mosque that is frequently used by locals and visitors alike. They could also ask the locals for directions to nearby prayer areas or inquire at their hotel.

Halal Food

Muslim tourists visiting the Museum of Contemporary Spanish Engraving will not find a Halal restaurant within its premises. They will however be able to locate a few Halal food outlets in the city of Marbella. Tourists visiting the mosque could get more information regarding the best Halal restaurants while there.
