Overview
Located in the heart of the city of San Sebastian in the Bay of La Concha is the popular Beach of La Concha. Said to be one of Europe's most famous urban beaches, the Beach of La Concha is frequented by locals as well as visitors from all over the world. Known for its crystal clear water, powder soft sand and its wonderful climate, La Concha Beach is a definite must-visit when in San Sebastian. Apart from relaxing on the beach and taking a dip in the warm water, visitors can also jog along the shore, take in the view from Paseo de La Concha, or visit the area that has diving boards and water slides, for a little more fun in the water. The beach is also great for surfing, and people and sunset watching. For Muslims visiting San Sebastian, it is best to avoid this beach during the summer as it gets incredibly crowded.
Prayer Facilities
There are no known prayer facilities at the Beach of La Concha. If visiting during off peak months, Muslim visitors will be able to find a quiet area on the beach to offer their prayers. However, during the summer months, since the beach gets crowded, Muslim tourists will have to visit the Masjid De Renteria to offer their prayers.
Halal Food
The Beach of La Concha is surrounded by numerous restaurants, cafés, street food stalls and more. These establishments will however not serve Halal certified food. Muslims visiting the beach can either dine on the vegetarian and seafood options available, or they can ask to be directed to a Halal restaurant close by.
