Said to be one of the top family destinations in Chicago, the Lincoln Park Zoo has something for both, young and old. The Regenstein African Journey offers adventurous visitors the opportunity to get up close and personal with numerous animals; like apes, while the Midwestern farm is great for kids interested in barnyard animals. There are also numerous other activities designed specifically for adults, at the Lincoln Park Zoo.

Prayer Facilities

The Lincoln Park Zoo is not known to house prayer facilities for Muslim visitors. Muslims visiting the zoo can either find a quiet, clean place inside Lincoln Park to offer their prayers, or they can visit one of the many mosques in the city of Chicago. Because of the sizeable population of Muslims residing in the city, there are quite a few mosques and Islamic Centers. Masjid-Al-Faatir, Masjid Al-Noor, Masjid Al-Ansar, Al-Madina Islamic Center and Masjid Rahmat are just a few of the many mosques in Chicago.

Halal Food

The Lincoln Park Zoo offers a variety of dining options. The Patio at Café Brauer, Eadie Levy's Landmark Café, Park Place Café and Café at Wild Things are all located within the zoo and all offer food items to suit every taste and budget. These establishments may not be Halal certified but they are sure to serve vegetarian and seafood options for Muslim visitors. The city of Chicago also has plenty of Halal restaurants. Muslims looking for Halal food in particular can ask the locals to direct them to the closest Halal restaurant in the area.
