Its main attractions are however the pandas, especially a baby panda named Bao Bao who was born in 2013.To catch a glimpse of exotic animals native to South America, visitors must make it a point to visit the Amazonia exhibit. There are also numerous shows that take place daily at the zoo, such as keeper talks, animal training and feeding demonstrations.
Prayer Facilities
Muslims visiting the National Zoological Park will not be able to find prayer facilities, but they should be able to find a clean and quiet place in the park to offer their prayers. The Islamic Center of Washington, Masjid Al-Hikma, Idriss Mosque and the Islamic Center of Kent are a few of the many mosques in the city. Muslim tourists can therefore ask to be guided to the closest mosque to the park when needed.
Halal Food
The National Zoological Park has numerous cafés and restaurants like the Seal Rock Café, Mane Grill, Hot Dog Diner and Panda Overlook Café. There are also many snack stands and kiosks located all around the park. While these establishments will not be Halal certified, many of them are sure to serve vegetarian and seafood options.
