Overview

Tucson's Reid Park Zoo is a great attraction for those with kids. Spread across 24 acres and home to over 500 animals, the zoo offers a wide variety of activities for the entire family. Visitors get to experience what it's like to travel through the Asian rain forest, to the mountains of South America, and to the African savanna all in one day. They will come across elephants, grizzly bears, lions, anteaters, giraffes, lemurs, jaguars, flamingos, gibbons, macaws, llamas, rhinos, tigers and many other fascinating animals. The Reid Park Zoo also offers giraffe encounters and camel rides as well as a variety of daily activities like chats with the zookeepers, training demonstrations and many other interactive activities.

Prayer Facilities

Finding prayer facilities at the Reid Park Zoo will not be possible. Muslim visitors can either find a clean and quiet place outdoors to offer their prayers or they can visit one of the mosques in the city of Tucson, such as the Islamic Center of Tucson or Mosque Yousuf.

Halal Food

It is unclear if there is a café within the Reid Park Zoo premises. Because the city of Tucson has a small but sizeable Muslim population, Muslim visitors will be able to find a couple of Halal restaurants in the city. They can therefore ask zoo staff to direct them to the best Halal restaurant nearby when needed.
