Located in the borough of Queens, New York, the Queens Botanical Garden is a beautiful and serene garden that is ideal for those looking to relax and bond with nature. The garden makes a great retreat for the entire family as it offers something for everyone. Spread across about 39 acres, this popular attraction is home to picturesque gardens filled with an array of flowers and plants. Some of the many gardens found here include the Bee Garden, the Fragrance Walk, the Children's Garden, the Rose Garden, the Wedding Gardens, the Floral Border and the Herb Garden. The wedding garden features a Victorian-style garden as well as a stream, gazebo and a footbridge, and offers a stunning backdrop for wedding pictures, while the Bee Garden is home to a wonderful collection of plants and trees that attract bees. Visitors to the garden must be aware that while the garden allows yoga; biking, skateboarding and roller blading are strictly forbidden.

Prayer Facilities

Finding prayer facilities at the Queens Botanical Garden will not be possible. Muslim visitors will however be able to locate plenty of open areas where they could offer their prayers. Queens is also home to a number of mosques, such as the Muslim Center of New York and Masjid Al-Fallah. Muslims visiting the garden could therefore ask to be guided to the nearest prayer facility when needed.

Halal Food

Visitors to the Queens Botanical Garden will not be able to find any eateries inside the gardens, and picnicking is not allowed. They will therefore have to dine at one of the many restaurants located around the garden. Finding a Halal restaurant in the area will not be a problem at all. Queens is in fact known to house a number of Halal restaurants serving a diverse range of cuisines.
