A must-visit attraction when in Edinburgh with family is the Edinburgh Butterfly & Insect World; home to the longest running indoor butterfly house in the world with hundreds of beautiful and colorful free flying butterflies, all thriving in an indoor tropical rainforest. The exotic rainforest also features tropical plants, ponds and waterfalls and a variety of creepy crawlies like scorpions, snakes, ants, tarantulas and lizards. While here visitors can also experience a butterfly talk and fish and quail feedings. They will also be able to touch and hold a variety of animals, allowing them to get over their fears and phobias.

Muslim visitors to the Edinburgh Butterfly & Insect World will not be able to locate prayer facilities within its premises. They can however visit one of the many mosques and Islamic Centers in the city, such as the Edinburgh Central Mosque, the Blackhall Mosque and the Annandale Street Mosque.
