Overview

When visiting Nottingham, a great attraction for the entire family is Green's Windmill and Science Centre. Two attractions rolled into one; Green's Mill was once home of significant mathematician George Green and is a working windmill that makes its own flour and features a science centre. Visitors to the popular attraction not only learn about the valuable work of George Green, they also get to see the inner workings of the mill, as well as the flour-making process, which takes place over four floors. The Science Centre houses numerous fun interactive hands-on exhibits and experiments on electricity, magnetism and light, which will keep the kids occupied for a while. Those visiting Green's Windmill and Science Centre must also make it a point to pick up a bag of their award winning organic flour on their way out.

Muslims looking for prayer facilities within Green's Windmill and Science Centre will not be able to find any. The city of Nottingham is however known to house quite a few mosques and Islamic Centers. The Shop at Green's Mill offers a selection of drinks. Visitors looking for food items will however not be able to find any here. Muslim visitors can dine at one of the numerous Halal restaurants in the city of Nottingham, or they can dine on suitable vegetarian and seafood dishes at local non-Halal restaurants.
