Overview

One off Scotland's must-see visitor attractions is the Glasgow Science Centre. Packed to the brim with fascinating and interactive exhibits, fun shows, activities and more, the Glasgow Science Centre makes the ideal attraction for families. Visitors will come across the Science Mall, a Planetarium, a Science Show Theatre and Scotland's biggest-screen IMAX cinema, while here. The Science Mall offers three floors of a plethora of interactive exhibits for young and old. Visitors get the chance to build their own rockets or rollercoasters, put on a puppet show, lie back and watch the stars at the Planetarium and watch spectacular live science shows at the Science Show Theatre. Also found here is the Glasgow Tower; the tallest freestanding building in Scotland. Visitors get to learn about the history of Glasgow and more at the base of the tower, they then get to enjoy incredible panoramic views of the city from the Tower cabin which is reached after a two and a half minute journey.

Prayer Facilities

Muslims visiting the Glasgow Science Centre will not be able to find prayer facilities within its premises. There are however quite a few mosques in Glasgow at which visitors could offer their prayers. The Glasgow Central Mosque, Madrasa Taleem-Ul-Islam, Al-Furqan Mosque and Jamia Islamia are a few of the several mosques in the city.

Halal Food

Elements Café and Helium Café are both located in the Glasgow Science Centre. While finding Halal food at any of these cafés will not be possible, Muslim visitors can dine on suitable vegetarian and seafood options. Due to its sizeable Muslim population, the city of Glasgow is also known to house a number of Halal restaurants.
