Overview
The Mansion was built in 1908 and is considered as a national historical landmark. It also serves as the official summer residence of the President of the Philippines during visits to Baguio. It was designed by the architect William E. Parsons based on the initial plans of the architect Daniel H. Burnham who was the city planner of Baguio. The Mansion is designed in the style of Spanish Colonial Revival architecture with an elaborate gate, where a beautiful garden leads up to a circular driveway. The building had been damaged during World War II and had to be rebuilt and is still well maintained today. The Mansion is not open to the public due to security reasons. There is a museum located inside The Mansion where presidential memorabilia and paintings can be viewed. The Wright Park is located right across the building, where a picture perfect long rectangular pool lined with tall pine trees and lights can be found.
