Overview

When in the city of Makasar, it is an absolute must for tourists to visit the very popular Losari Beach. Although not much of a beach and more of a port, Losari Beach attracts locals and tourists alike. Muslims visiting Makassar will find quite a few mosques throughout the city. Those visiting Losari Beach will find the Floating Mosque close by. While this mosque is frequented by Muslims for prayers, it is also a popular attraction in the city. Muslims visiting Losari Beach can therefore ask to be directed to this mosque when needed, or they could try to find a secluded area on the beach to offer their prayers.

As mentioned above, there are a number of food stalls surrounding Losari Beach. Visitors will therefore find a variety of delicious food items to suit all tastes and budgets. While here, visitors must make it a point to try out some popular dishes, such as the grilled bananas that are sold by numerous vendors.
