Overview
A great way for those visiting Donegal to see the natural, historical and geographical sights of the area would be for them to hop onto a Donegal Bay Waterbus. This must-do may be popular amongst tourists to Donegal, but is also enjoyed by the locals, and has become one of North West Ireland's top attractions. The Waterbus cruises around Donegal Bay and passes numerous points of interest such as Seal Island; which is home to a large colony of seals, the Bluestack Mountains, the Old Abbey, Ballyboyle Island, Rossylongan Estate and more. There is a detailed live commentary on the attractions, the wildlife and the history of the area, and the Waterbus tour lasts about 90 minutes.
Prayer Facilities
While the Donegal Bay Waterbus does not offer prayer facilities, Muslims taking the tour may be able to find a secluded place on the boat to offer their prayers. If unable to, they will have to return to their accommodation at prayer times, as there are no known mosques in Donegal Town.
Halal Food
The Donegal Bay Waterbus does offer a variety of snacks and refreshments. Muslim tourists could dine on suitable seafood or vegetarian items, as non-Halal ingredients are sure to be used. Donegal is also known to have a small Muslim community, which means that there will be a few Halal restaurants in town.
