Overview
Taal Lake and Taal Volcano are two natural attractions in Tagaytay that should not be missed when in the city. Located just 30 miles from Manila, Tagaytay is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country, with most tourists making the trip, just to see its famous lake and volcano. The interesting aspect of this volcano is that although the volcano is thought to be one of the smallest, in reality it is actually one of the largest as it is situated on an island in Taal Lake which is located in a caldera. Tourists visiting this famous attraction could enjoy a boat ride across the lake and trek up the crater, while others may only want to take in its breathtaking surroundings from the craters ridge.
Prayer Facilities
Since the city of Tagaytay is not known to house any mosques, Muslim tourists visiting the Taal Lake and Volcano will not find prayer facilities while in the city. Those staying overnight may have to return to their hotel rooms to offer their prayer, or if possible, find a clean and quiet area to pray while outdoors.
Halal Food
Tourists visiting Taal Lake and Volcano will not find any Halal restaurants in the area, as the city of Tagaytay is not known to house any Halal certified restaurants. Muslim tourists will therefore have to dine on suitable vegetarian or seafood dishes at one of the many restaurants in the area, or those visiting the Tagaytay from Manila for the day, could bring suitable snacks from Halal outlets in Manila.
