The Fairy Stream

Overview

One of the top attractions in Mui Ne is the Fairy Stream, or Suoi Tien. This natural attraction is tucked between beaches and fishing villages, and is known to be one of Vietnam's hidden gems. The stream flows through the dunes of Mui Ne, as well bamboo forests and rock formations; the latter of which it gets its color from. Located just off the main road, the entrance to the stream is located right next to a fish sauce factory; an ingredient that is extremely popular in Vietnamese cuisine. Visitors will even get the chance to learn about the fish sauce making process from the enthusiastic locals here. Those visiting can then proceed to the Fairy Stream and hike about 20 minutes upstream to a small waterfall. The attraction is known to resemble a miniature version of the Grand Canyon, as it is surrounded by red sand cliffs. The Fairy Stream is only about ankle to knee-deep, so visitors can wade through the warm waters and explore it.

Prayer Facilities

Muslims visiting the Fairy Stream will not be able to find prayer facilities at the attraction. They will however be able to find plenty of places outdoors to offer their prayers. Since the resort town of Mui Ne is also not known to house any mosques, Muslim tourists will have to return to their hotel at prayer times, if unable to find a secluded place outdoors.

Halal Food

The town of Mui Ne is not known to have any Halal certified restaurants. Muslim tourists will therefore have to dine on suitable vegetarian and seafood dishes, and locating restaurants serving seafood dishes will not be a problem at all. Those visiting the Fairy Stream should be able to find a few food outlets in the surrounding villages.
