Vung Vieng Fishing Village

Overview

Located approximately 40 kilometress from Ha Long city, the Vung Vieng Fishing Village is a popular stop on most cruise tours of the Ha Long Bay. One of the four fishing villages in Ha long Bay, Vung Vieng fishing village, with its scenic setting is home to 160 people, whose occupation is either fishing or pearl farming. Tourists visiting this particular village will be able to join the locals and experience the daily life of a fisherman and go fishing in the bay or learn more about pearl farming, at the floating pearl farm. This village is a truly magical and tranquil place that provides visitors the opportunity to see and experience the traditional culture and customs of the fishermen while also being a great way to escape the hustle and bustle of the city.

Prayer Facilities

There are no known mosques in the Vung Vieng Fishing Village or in Ha Long city, but tourists looking for prayer facilities might be able to locate a clean and quiet area in the village to offer their prayers. Muslim tourists requiring prayer facilities should in fact inform their tour guide of their need for a secluded area to pray, prior to embarking on their cruise. The tour organizers may make the required arrangements and direct visitors to a suitable place to pray.
