Overview
A trip to Fira is incomplete without a tour of the Caldera and the volcanoes of Santorini. Santorini's beautiful and unique landscape and seascape are best appreciated from the water. Tourists therefore will have numerous sea excursions and tours to choose from. With most of the tours starting off at the Old Port of Fira, tourists in the picturesque city of Fira will have to select the tour that excites them the most. Visitors can also choose to travel in style in a luxury catamaran or even choose a more economical boat tour. A Caldera cruise will definitely be a great way to see the city from a different angle. Aside from admiring the incredible views of the beautiful town perched on the Caldera and tucking into a delicious seafood meal, visitors could also enjoy a swim before heading back to land. Tourists choosing to explore the volcanoes will have the opportunity to visit all the active craters and see the various volcanic rocks and craters that still have smoke coming out of them.
Prayer Facilities
Visitors exploring the Caldera and volcanoes by boat will not find prayer facilities available aboard the boat, nor will they find mosques or Islamic centers in Fira. Muslim tourists will have to either offer their prayers in their hotel rooms or find a suitable area to offer their prayers, while outdoors.
Halal Food
Muslim tourists requiring Halal cuisine will not be able to locate any Halal outlets in Fira. They will however be able to find an abundance of fresh seafood to dig into, throughout Santorini. Since an all-inclusive tour includes a seafood meal, Muslim visitors will definitely be able enjoy the meal served on board as well. They will however have to ensure the dishes served to them do not contain any non-Halal ingredients.
