Overview
Home to over 100,000 marine animals of over 1,000 species, the South East Asia Aquarium is one of the largest aquariums in the world, featuring more that 50 diverse habitats. The aquarium is a part of Marine Life Park of Resorts World Sentosa which exhibits close to 80 threatened species including the manta ray, Clarion angelfish and a variety of beautiful corals that mirror a pristine aquatic environment.
Visitors to the aquarium will also be able to see sea creatures such as sharks, dolphins, crustaceans as well as a myriad of endangered plants and sea animals. The aquarium also includes a restaurant and snack bar, as well as a gift shop, and is a must-see attraction when sight-seeing in Singapore.
S.E.A. Aquarium aims to inspire visitors to protect the world's oceans through interactive programmes, up-close animal encounters and immersive learning journeys. They collaborate with local and regional partners in marine conservation projects and is accredited by the Association of Zoos & Aquariums (AZA) and World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA).
Prayer Facilities
Though a prayer room at SEA Aquarium itself will not be available, it is possible to enquire for a private area that can be used during prayer times. To visit a prayer room at Resort Sentosa, Muslim travellers can head to the prayer room at Universal Studios – located not too far away.
Halal Food
Though both a restaurant and snack bar – Ocean Restaurant by Cat Cora and S.E.A. Side Snacks – are open to aquarium visitors, it is recommended that you inquire about the availability of Halal food prior to dining. Travellers may also visit the McDonalds located nearby or the Malaysian Food Street – a food court with a few Halal food stalls.
