Overview

The John Hay Airbase better known as Camp John Hay is one of the most well-known tourism spots for recreation in Baguio city. It was first established in 1903 as a military reservation and served as a rest and relaxation facility for the United States Armed forces. Camp John Hay was also used as a concentration camp for American and British soldiers during World War II by the Japanese. The Forest Lodge and The Manor are two of the popular unique resorts located here that are ideal for rest and relaxation. Restaurants and shops are located conveniently for tourists as well. Nature lovers will find this an ideal place to visit with walks near Kabadjo forest and to take part in outdoor sporting activities like canopy rides. You can also pay a visit to an enclosed butterfly sanctuary and the Cemetery of Negativism (which is not really a cemetery) where one can release their negative energy. The Historical Core is also a place to visit to learn more about the history of Camp John Hay. Some resorts also offer activities for children as well. There is something for everyone with a place to meditate or simply enjoy a spa treatment.

Prayer Facilities

While there are no prayer facilities at the resorts and hotels or no Mosques near Camp John Hay, there is enough room for outdoor and indoor privacy for prayers. The Baguio Grand Mosque and Darul Arqam Mosque are more than a 15 minute driving distance away.
