Calauit Safari Park

Overview

Located in Calauit Island, this park is both a game reserve and a wild life sanctuary. It is a popular attraction that is known for housing exotic African animals like giraffes, zebras and antelopes. There are endangered animals that have increased in number due to the lack of hunting animals at the park which has helped animal breeding efforts. This is a place to see zebras and deer grazing in the wild. There are two ways to get to the park – by boat or land. , Both ways take about 3 to 4 hours. But there are beautiful sceneries on the way so you won't feel bored. Tourists are allowed to feed and interact with the giraffes, which is an uncommon feature in natural parks. However, only a few animals are allowed to graze outside, while the rest are in enclosures. You can also go snorkeling at the coral gardens on Black Island and visit the Lusong Gunboat and Shipwreck.

Prayer Facilities

Muslim travelers to the park can use outdoor spaces and indoor areas in the resorts as there are no prayer facilities at the location.

Halal Food

Finding Halal restaurants near the attractions won't be easy, but you can ask the staff if the food is Halal. You can also ask the locals to help direct you to places where they have Halal food at their restaurants, or else it is better have vegetarian or seafood meals.
