Overview
El Nido is officially known as the Municipality of El Nido and is made up of several smaller islands. This entire island is a protected environment. Through fossils and burial sites, there is evidence that humans lived in this region about 22,000 years ago. Today it is considered as an eco-paradise that boasts of several species of corals and marine life, including several beautiful white sandy beaches. With natural forests, El Nido is home to rare birds and animal species
which makes this one of the best destinations to book a tour for island hopping. In Bacuit Bay, you can even paddle boat or swim into beautiful lagoons on Cadloa Island which is the largest one with the most beaches. Snorkeling here is possible too. Dilumacad Island is where you will see limestone cliffs with amazing ocean scenery and Cudgnon Point should be visited during an island hopping tour.
Prayer Facilities
Muslim travelers to the islands will find outdoor and indoor areas in resorts that can be used for prayer facilities at El Nido. The Masjid Abad Santos is one the Mosques near Puerto Princesa but is far from the islands.
Halal Food
Finding Halal restaurants near tourist spots or places that serve Halal food at the resorts can be tricky. It is better to order seafood or vegetarian meals if you are not sure, or ask the locals to help you locate some.
