Overview
The city of Polomolok in South Cotabato has become well known for the 12,000 hectare Dole Pineapple Plantation that covers the base of Mount Matutum, that is a drive away from the the Kalsangi Clubhouse. It is also the largest pineapple plantation in the world. Visitors touring the area might be allowed to try the pineapples as well with permission of course. Another sight to see are the natural hot and cold springs at the base of Mount Matutum as well. The Kalsangi clubhouse that is surrounded by the plantation boasts a golf course and great restaurant as well, since it is a part the exclusive Kalsangi village. The Trappistine Monastery of Our Lady of Matutum is home to Cistercian nuns who sell religious artifacts and postcards, as well as baked items made by the nuns themselves. There is a gorgeous view of Polomok from the Adoration chapel of the monastery that should be seen too.
Prayer Facilities
There are two known Mosques near the location where Muslim travelers to Polomolok can visit which are the Landan Mosque and the Assiri Mosque. There are no prayer facilities at the plantation itself, but outdoor spaces can be used instead.
Halal Food
Finding Halal restaurants near the location will be hard, since most Halal restaurants are in General Santos. You can ask the locals for help when searching for Halal food at places in Polomolok. It is always better to order vegetarian or seafood meals if you are not sure.
