Kuta is a popular vacation spot in Bali. The area has seen a lot of commercialization and is bustling all around the year. The town is best known for its shopping venues and beaches. The beach can often get crowded and the hawkers on the beach can get a bit irritating. However, everything visitors can experience in Kuta will surely be worth it! 

The primary attraction of Kuta is the Kuta Beach where visitors most often enjoy various watersports. A little up north from Kuta Beach, visitors can find quaint stretches of beaches where other attractions, stalls, and, especially, Beachwalk—a modern leisure landmark of Bali that resides in Kuta. Plenty of dining options, shops, and beautiful views of gardens and the coast are available right at the Beachwalk.

For those who wish to enjoy some adventure rides, the Waterbom Park is a great place to visit. It is the largest waterpark in Bali perfect for visitors traveling with kids. Adventure lovers can also opt for a bungee jumping experience. The tower at AJ Hackett's is the most popular site for bungee jumping.

Kuta is also rich in Balinese cultural sites. Visit Kuta Theater where a series of stage shows portraying local culture with a touch of modern flair take place! Check out the Museum Kain at the top of Beachwalk! Galleries of wonderful indigenous textile pieces are exhibited at this very museum. Kuta is known for its shopping. There are several malls, shops, boutiques, and stores that offer an excellent shopping experience in Kuta. The Kuta Square, Mal Bali Galeria, the Discovery Mall, and, of course, Beachwalk are just a few famous places for shopping in town.

Nearby Airports

The nearest airport to Kuta is the Ngurah Rai International Airport. The airport is about 15 minutes away from Kuta. Pre-paid taxis are available from the airport to Kuta and ideally cost around Rp 50,000. Visitors can also opt for metered taxis from outside the airport.

Halal Restaurants

There are several places that offer halal food in Kuta. Some of the best halal restaurants in Kuta include Warung Makan Nikmat Kuta, Jejaton Restaurant, Bale Udang Mang Engking, and Ayam Betutu Khas Gilimanuk. The neighboring towns of Denpasar and Legian also have plenty of good halal eateries.
